Look at civil service or their contractors in the passport office, mod at kentigern house, HMRC. Scot gov are also recruiting regularly. Some of these jobs have lengthy interview processes but the end goal of a secure job with decent pay and conditions awaits. I'm 38 and I'm still applying for jobs mate it fuckin sucks but you need to sort of overhaul how you're looking at things. We are victims of the wider economy to an extent but going from full time employment with your qualifications and experience you are perhaps in a better position than many others.
