Body | So I moved into a flat a few months back in tax band **F**. Got a council tax bill with a monthly amount of £290 a couple weeks later and have been paying that. Was staying in a flat in the same tax band and was paying £282, so when it increased by £8, it was a sensible amount.
Just today got another council tax bill with a different reference number and a monthly bill of **£322**. While I *can* pay this, it still strikes me as weird.
I'm fairly new to Scotland (got here roughly a year and a half ago) so I'm a bit perplexed by how the council tax bill can jump like this.
Any explanations or advice? Many thanks!
TL;DR:
Council tax (band F) bill went from £282 to £290 but then jumped to £322. Confused about wtf is going on, looking for clarification/advice. |
