TitleWould moving to Glasgow in August/September be a good idea?

At the start of the year me and my partner were planning a move to glasgow for July. Obviously with all thats gone on, we decided to delay it but now that things are starting to look a little bit normal we started to think of the move again.

We're both 24, she's a make up artist and I have years of office/warehouse/retail experience. We'd be coming from Dublin (which is extortionate if you want to live in a regular house and not a kitchen with a bed in it, and even thats pricey) so we wouldnt need to worry about visas or anything (already checked, brexit doesnt effect Ireland/UK relations).

Just wanted to know would it be a good idea to move in august/september? How hard would it be to find a job or a flat? (I dont really mind the job type as long as I can afford to live). Whats the situation looking like over there?

Also, trying to gauge how much we would need to survive off of without a job coming over, would 3 grand between us be enough to live off for the month to get us up and running? I would be looking to get a job before I go over or just as soon as I go over anyway but just in case. Cheers
