| Body | So I found my dads old fishing stuff a few weeks ago and decided I wanna give it a go. I found a few rods and reels and 3 fly rods with reels, I’ve been out spinning at the Clyde under the erskine bridge once just to practice casting and make sure my knots are tight. Found out a few days later that permits were a thing, I thought you could fish anywhere for free which is silly in retrospect of course. I have been watching a lot of fly fishing content on YouTube and I think that I would like to pursue fly fishing. I’m wondering if anyone could recommend areas to practice fly fishing, cheapest areas and or free areas? I don’t have much money to invest at the moment but Hopefully COVID calms down soon and I can get back to work! I’ve done a bit of googling and there is a fair bit of contradiction on the best and worst places to fish near me. Any advice or tips would be most welcome!
