TitleLayout of tenement flats

Body
I got my first flat in Shawlands recently, and I'll be moving in about a month. It was a rental for a while so it needs a fair bit of work but I'm excited to get started.

I want to knock down an internal wall to open up the tiny kitchen which shouldn't be difficult, but my other plan is to remove the plaster on one of the walls and have exposed brick (will probably paint it white). I can't get access into the flat until I get the keys, but generally speaking is it brick wall separating each flat in the building? It felt pretty solid when I did my viewing so that's my assumption, but it would be good to know if there's a general standardised layout for tenement flats.
