like many people i picked up skateboarding during lockdown and am unfortunate enough to live in a street with a majority elderly population, meaning i haven’t been able to find a lot of other skaters organically and haven’t been able to build up the confidence to go to skateparks because frankly am still shite.

i’m in a weird middle ground where most groups of skaters i (19,m) see in town are 20+ and look like they could be semi pro or are a bunch of 10 year olds. I know a lot of people will say the riverside museum and kg are where most skaters will be at but i’m a bit of a shitebag n get the impression that most people that go there don’t have the intentions of entertaining someone just starting. so amongst all of the anxiety, self-doubt n shite weather i’ve gotten to a point where i’ve not skated in at least a month n i want to change that. Anyone else in the same position?
