TitleNever been to an opticans - want to get my eyes tested, where do I start?

Hey,

Title says it all, never been. If i require glasses will probably go to a nice store like IOLLA to get them but they dont do eyetests, where do I start? Do i just go to boots or do they tie you into buying thier glasses if they do the test?
