TitleGood locations for gothic photoshoots?

I know this should probably go in r/cosplay, but it might be appropriate asking those familiar with Glasgow.

A photographer friend and I had planned on a cosplay photoshoot before Covid happened. We had Glasgow Cathedral and Glasgow University in mind, as we were looking for gothic looking locations.

I see lots of cosplayers (mostly from Europe) with photos often taken inside castles and manor houses. Are there many similar places in Glasgow and nearby that allow this? Kelvingrove art gallery springs to mind, but their policy seems to prohibit photography or anything beyond casual photo taking. Most other places I can think of would view it as commercial use, and would probably charge for it.
