I was wondering if any existing Glasgow Club members could share their experience at the gyms during lockdown and if there is any word of new members being allowed to join any time soon?
It seems at the moment you cannot join on a monthly membership, but can still attend the gym on a pay-as-you-go basis, which is £5 each time and would obviously add up to a decent sum of money if you go regularly.
If the situation was that you couldn't go at all, I guess that would be fair enough, but the idea that you can go for £5 each time, but can't join on a £27 monthly membership seems off to me. I've also been able to go and play badminton with an existing member, so it is just quite frustrating that getting into the building isn't the issue - it is more the options available. My friend who is the existing member has also said the gym isn't anywhere near full capacity when he has been going for his hour gym slots.
