So, I wanted to see if any of you have had any experience with this, basically I was driving past a road and the main light on that road wasn't working. The light adjacent to it on the other side of the road was, however I noticed that a bit too late and basically ran the red light.

Unfortunately, the police was right there and they stopped me. I offered them my license, they said they'll check if everything is in order and if I owned the vehicle - I explained what happened, they checked my details and passed me back my license. Basically told me to be careful.

My question is that if they issue an FPN/Points, would they tell me that they're doing so on the spot? Or would they issue it there and then? I'm just anxious about it because I'm a new driver. |
