r/Glasgow Tools

Hey all. I am a prospective international post-grad student for University of Glasgow starting in January. I've never been to Glasgow before but am planning on coming a week or two before classes begin to try and find an apartment. What areas would you recommend for both cost and general location? I'm not sure where the best parts are so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
