TitleDoes anyone here have any experience of major works needing to be done on the close of their 1900s tenement? What kind of potential costs would I be looking at if shit hits the fan?

I'm a prospective buyer of a tenement flat (or rather someone who's trying to figure out whether it makes sense for me) and so I'm trying to gauge the kind of risk I'd be taking on by becoming co-responsible for such an ancient property. I'm finding that quite tricky as buying flats involves only surveys and reports to the flat itself, and a lot of the tenements are sometimes in an *interesting* state.
