TitleDoes the council doctor the dates on correspondence?

Been in a bit of the mix up with the council regarding tax that I’ve just managed to sort last week, but until then I was receiving postal reminders of tax due each month, which I grudged to pay because it was more than I actually owe them.

The worst thing about them was it was the type of 7 days to pay or you pay the lot type letters- which were posted through my letterbox on the 7th day from the letters date.

I’m no expert on post but I would think getting a letter from the council office to a flat less than 3 miles away wouldn’t take 7 days. Are they posting important letters 5th class?

Sorry about the rant, never seen such a shite council in my life.

Also compulsory they’ve picked up the bins in the court yard about 4 times since October so what do I even pay tax for!

Seen the excuse about gritting roads but they never gritted any round here when it was sheet ice, got here 3 days after when it was melted. Useless.
