TitleWhat's Bridgeton like?

Body
I'm looking at a couple of rental properties in Bridgeton and Dennistoun as I need to move to Glasgow. I know about Dennistoun but don't know anything about Bridgeton. The reason I like the place in Bridgeton is it's bigger, home-lier, and a shorter commute to work (15 minute walk Vs 50 minute), plus closer to the centre. It seems to be around the border of the Bridgeton/Calton area in what I suppose you could say was a small housing area.

Basically, what is that area like. It doesn't seem to be as vibrant as Dennistoun but that doesn't bother me, if I want to go to bars and restaurants ones I know aren't too far away. Is it safe? Is it rowdy? Are there any issues in the area I should know about etc?
