| Body | Hi all, looking for a bit of help/advice.
I've just got the keys for a new flat and, when I tried to use them, was only able to open the street level security door after about 20 minutes of trying. Seems like you have to turn it in just the right way but it's a proper effort - doesn't open easily at all.
I actually watched the letting agent struggle to open the security door and then call up to a flat to let her in for my viewing, but hoped this was a one-off.
I've got in touch with the letting agent and they've said that no problems have been reported when my keys were tried as part of the inventory check, and yet the letting agent was clearly unable to use them a week or so before I moved in? They've said they're going to send someone out to try their set of keys, but it doesn't sound like they're really bothered about this situation. It's making me pretty worried though!
Has anyone been in a similar situation and has any advice? I guess just keep going at the letting agent even if they claim their keys are fine? |
