Title | Building warrant nightmare - help! |

Body | Hello again, I have been trying to get a building warrant ever since... December I think? And this is getting a tad bit ridiculous. After the last bunch of documents sent, I finally received an answer which says the following: "Procedural- Insufficient information supplied to carry out a full technical assessment.- Please supply the following: existing and proposed plans of the whole flat, drainage plan showing connections from bathroom to soil vent pipe (internal or external), specification for the proposed alterations.- Note additional information including drawings maybe required as all applicable standards must be demonstrated to have been met in your proposals. If you are unable to provide these, I would advise you appoint an agent to act on your behalf who has professional experience in building warrant applications. Once received a vetting of the information will be undertaken and a points letter issued as required." The room I am trying to convert is empty, I am just wanting to add a shower. We already went through buildingstandards.scot, filled in all the relevant info, submitted architect drawing of the room, A block/location plan, paid the fee etc. We need info on the drainage, but I do not know where to get that from. Not knowing absolutely anything about all of this (forgive me) I was wondering if any of you could recommend people/provide help/just cry with me? If you need more info, please don't be afraid to ask. Thanks! |
