| Body | I got completely screwed by a conman on Facebook, even though I pride myself on being pretty clued up.
This guy is ALL over the local Facebook groups offering fencing, decking, turfing, roofing, landscaping, plastering, roughcasting etc, so, just to warn you of the things I wish I'd spotted before I got shafted out of £4k, and just in case you or your mum/gran mention getting a guy of Facebook to do their decking these are the things I wish I spotted:
- he has no address on his invoices, and he's in multiple local Facebook groups.
-not registered with companies House, despite calling himself "Ltd".
- his website is fake, dead link
- his posts are full of people commenting asking to get in touch, but he deletes anything negative.
- he doesn't allow reviews on Facebook. |
