There was always that one house where all the weans congregated because they knew their pal would give them snacks/sweets etc. When I was younger, some kids were actually TOLD to go there by their lazy parents who couldn't be bothered making them a meal/snack. Being an 80s kid, obviously there was loads of poverty, and most of the mums in their "network" knew who genuinely didn't get fed at home, and who was there just for freebies. |
