Title	Has anyone adopted a pet in the last year or so...

Body	My dog of 15 years had to be put to sleep in February and I’m really missing having a wee companion about the house. I’m not ready for another dog and also other circumstances are against me but I have been applying to rescues for a cat. They all say the need to do home checks, I totally understand but has anyone had this done recently? What does it entail? Some say the do it over video call others do an actual check, I just want to be prepared.
