To all Glasgow teachers who come across this:
Do you or anyone you've worked with have visible tattoos? I'd like a career change and am interested in becoming a secondary school maths teacher. Once qualified I'd likely seek work in a Scottish school.
I'd rather not waste 4 years of my life becoming qualified if my tattoos will be a problem for my future job prospects. I have finger tattoos on one hand and plan on having my other hand tattooed in the future. They are not offensive or rude in any way. They are of course noticable though.
I've always hated that certain workplaces and industries like to control the image of their employees. I've never came across a noticeably tattooed teacher and am wondering if this may cause problems for me?
