This might come off as a bit of a rant but I'm really tired of this situation. I've lived in Glasgow for 2 years now and for most of that time I've been unable to find work. At most I get offered trail shifts that I never get paid for and nothing has come of these so far. I am also a full-time student so my limited availability is not helpful either.

I just have no idea what people in my situation could do to get a job. Once I graduate that should be much easier since I'm studying programming which is something I understand and does not require the same amount of people skills that most other jobs do. But for the time being I need to find a job. It seems like even the most basic jobs require you to be really good at lying and pretending to pass the interview even if the job itself is not very social. This is not something I am good at. I can't even pass the weird online quizzes for some of them because I have no idea what they want to hear, even when I try to lie I get it wrong.

I feel like I've applied to every big grocery store in the area, every shady local takeaway, and most of the time they don't respond. The career advisor at uni told that it might be a good idea to start disclosing my autism when I apply. That's when I started getting instant rejections instead of just being ignored.

I am just wondering if there are places around that are open to employing autistic people or jobs that might be more suitable for those on the spectrum.

Please ignore any mistakes, I'm on mobile and English is not my first language.
