Following a fire at a station earlier at Troon all lines have now reopened. Disruption is expected until 23:59 29/07.

Train services between Glasgow Central and Ayr will be revised. Troon will not be served.

Check if a rail journey is currently possible..

* Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if you can continue your journey by rail.

* Glasgow Central - Gourock & Wemyss Bay for Paisley Gilmour Street.

* Glasgow Central to Largs and Ardrossan Harbour run as normal.

* If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.

Platform two at Troon station is now open.

Services from Glasgow Central to Ayr are running as scheduled

Services from Ayr to Glasgow Central will not call at Troon

Services between Stranraer and Kilmarnock will not call at Troon.

Passengers travelling towards Glasgow from Troon are being advised to take a train to Prestwick Town to connect with Glasgow bound trains.

If they are travelling to Troon from Ayr, the advice is to change at Irvine for connecting trains back to Troon.

There will be no shuttle buses.

Platform one at Troon station is scheduled to reopen on Friday, 30 July when trains between Glasgow Central and Ayr will return to normal operation.

ScotRail is advising customers to check their journey before they travel, buy their ticket before boarding the train and consult the train operators social media channels for up to date information.

Train services between Glasgow Central and Stranraer via Kilmarnock will be revised. Troon will not be served.

Cancellations to services between Queen Street and Aberdeen

Following a safety inspection of the track at Broughty Ferry all lines have now reopened. Disruption is expected until 07:00 29/07.

Train services between Queen Street and Aberdeen may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Option 1 - Check if a rail journey is currently possible..

Option 2 - Local Buses..

* Currently, we have not arranged for your rail tickets to be accepted on local bus routes as yet. We will monitor this situation as the incident develops.

Option 3 - Rail Replacement Transport..

Currently, we have not requested Rail Replacement Transport. We will monitor this situation as the incident develops.

Option 4 - Consider travelling later..

You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our service's return to normal.

* We have a safety inspection of the track in the Broughty Ferry area.

* Our staff are on site carrying out an assessment as to what repairs will be needed. We'll keep you updated on their progress.
