TitleIs flat hunting supposed to be this hard?

Body
I am trying to find a new flat with a friend close to the UoG (we're both students). The only requirement we have for the flat (apart from the usual, price) is that since university's stance on return to campus is still very unclear, we would like to have some space in the bedroom for our desks. But after over 3 weeks of unsuccessful chasing after flats right as they pop up on rightmove etc., we're starting to give up (or we would if that didn't make us homeless lol). Most of the flats have their master bedroom decently sized, but 2nd bedrooms of every house posted seems to be just a shoebox, with a double bed thrown in, leaving no space whatsoever for anything any of us would like to have in our bedrooms. Even the flats which are way beyond our budget seem to suffer from the same problem, the only difference between them and cheaper ones being larger lounge / fancier tiles in the kitchen/bathroom. Should we just give up and draw lots to see who will be privileged to live in a bedroom and the loser gets to live in a coffin for the next year? Is this bedroom inequality (and overall small size thereof) this bad in Glasgow?

Sorry for the rant.
