Hi Reddit,

I am 26, and stuck in limbo. I got priced out of the market in Dublin, and couldn't afford to live anywhere. I am single and spotted Glasgow as a very viable option. However I can't find anything but Americans moving to Scotland on YouTube and looking for an Irish perspective.

I know the culture is very similar to Ireland in Scotland, and Scotland is like Irelands brother in terms of countries... So, my real question is, how, what and why would it be a good idea to move to Glasgow. What is the housing like and how easy/hard is it to start renting in Glasgow as a first time renter, what's professional development like and how easy is it to get a job where I can pay for rent and have a little left over to live a little bit.

I know that the employment laws are actually followed, unlike in Romania, so that's a start, and wages aren't too bad... could be a little better, but on par with Ireland.

Ideas, and advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated and respected.

Kindest,
Petre.
