TitleDog friendly renting

Hello Glasgow,

I love your city. I have been a few times and just generally like going hiking in Scotland. I am looking to move from London but I have a dog and the situation for renting with a dog is looking as grim as it is in London judging from regularly surfing zoopla, rightmove, open rent for the last six months.

So my questions are:

- would you say that there are areas that are more dog friendly? For example, I lived for a couple of years in East London and it was an absolute torture. The population there is predominantly East Asian (no hate) and besides the fact that there are few dogs and nowhere is dog friendly just walking around was always dramatic, stressful and hostile. It felt as if I was walking a tiger. And I have a shy friendly spaniel interested in nothing else but fetching. I moved to North London and it was like moving country. We are welcome pretty much anywhere. I just got home with a small bag of ham leftovers the pizza place kept for my dog. So is there an area in Glasgow I should avoid?

- I can't drive and I don't know anyone in Glasgow so I prefer to be closer to the inner city in case I need help and can hire services. When I look online for flats my search returns hundreds of results. When I add "pets allowed" filters down to less than 10 and they are all far from the inner city and not nice at all.

I am happy to spend up to 1100 a month for a two bed flat as long as me and the doggie can be safe. Should I contact an agency and ask them to do the search? Would you have any recommendations? What would you do if you were me?

I work from home so for now I would not have to commute anywhere.

Thank you lovely people. I hope one day I will be able to attend those reddit meet ups I see organised here.
