| Body | Trying to help the expectations of a friend who is looking to buy a property to get their kids into Jordanhill - I've seen lots of people move to that area and then when the kids are mid-primary age move out to Bearsden or East Ren, presumably because they knew they wouldn't get a place even at the secondary later on. They're convinced their kids will get in though.
So there's a list of addresses in the 'catchment', if you live in one of those addresses are you guaranteed a place?
And apparently outwith these addresses you can apply to go on a waiting list - what's the likelihood of getting a place from that, is it just based on distance from the school?
They don't have a lot of spare cash to throw at a house so I just want them to have a realistic idea of what might happen. |
