Title	Incoming postgraduate student requesting help

Body	Hello dear Glaswegians! I'm days away from moving to Glasgow from the US and in somewhat desperate need of help. When I decided to go back to school as a postgrad in children's literature and media 2 years ago, and before Covid, I had no idea I'd end up battling an onslaught of incoming students for housing well past what feels comfortable in my moving timeline. Despite daily outreach across multiple letting sites, the time difference is proving to be problematic as my messages go out hours after locals have already been active and secured viewings and properties. I've barely missed out on a couple places I was able to view and had to avoid a shady character at a place where I nearly put down a deposit. But I've packed my home to be picked up for storage and I still have nowhere to land once I get to Scotland. What I'm asking is, do any of you have or know of a room/flat to let for the autumn semester into January? Or a couch for temporary purposes so I can do in-person viewings that might offer a better chance? Other classmates in my small program are up the same creek, so we'd be open to multi-room arrangements as well. If you'd be interested in discussing further, I am happy to describe myself in a dm. Ideally, I'd like to only get on one mode of public transportation that's up to a 35 minute commute to campus on the West Side, which means the extended West Side, City Centre, and South Side. I'd also like to try to stay under £550 per month with bills (inclusive or not). Thank you so much for considering my request. And even if you can't help with a housing suggestion, let me know if you'd be up for exploring or grabbing a pint. I'm really looking forward to everything that lies ahead, just wish this major detail weren't still unfinished.
