Title	How can I try out pool/snooker cues?

Body	In the market for a pool/snooker cue (haven't decided which/what yet), but I've never bought one before. Any suggestions on ways I can try out different styles/lengths/tip size, instead of just buying whatever looks nice behind the bar? Glasgow suggestions would be ideal, but don't mind travelling a bit.
