Title	Interior ideas for tenement closed off doorways please!

Body	Hello! For those who have those closed off doorways in tenement flats - what have you done with the lil alcove? Looking for pics and ideas please! I have two. Right now ones a bookshelf and the other is a cupboard but am interested in 'upgrading' them so they're more useful. The bookshelf is too shallow to have anything but novels and is just an eyesore. Thanks!
