Title	Homeless and can’t find accommodation

Body	Hello everyone, My husband and I have moved to Glasgow from Canada for my masters. We landed at the end of august and were waiting to get into our apartment with Castle Residential. Once we got to the apartment yesterday, we noticed that the place did not meet health and safety standards. There appears to be what my husband identified as asbestos that has not been dealt with, faecal matter and urine all over the floors from the bathroom, the baseboards were missing or not sealed properly, windows shattered, and every surface of the property was either broken, soiled, or missing. Castle Residential has refused to help us and despite agreeing to give us back our deposit and first months rent, they are arguing with us to actually get the money back to our account. In the meantime, my husband and I, along with our service animal are homeless and the letting agency refuses to help in anyway. We’ve contacted the university and we have temporary emergency accommodation for one more night but other than that, they’ve told us they have no room for us anywhere. We’ve tried private student accommodation but they won’t let us stay because my husband is not a student. We’ve desperately resumed the flat search and are coming up empty at every turn. I’ve joined Facebook groups, I’ve talked to the SRC, the university accommodation services, and emergency student services but no one can help us. I’m posting here as a last resort. Does anyone have any leads on a flat that can help us or have a flat for rent? I have references and proof of income but as an international student, I do not have access to a UK guarantor. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you
