TitleAdvice on Job Hunting

Body
26 M who works in retail and at the start of the year it was revealed that my specific department was being cut and that employees would have to apply elsewhere in the store. As a five year employee I had my hours cut to 12 a week and now maintaining my flat is a struggle even with the help of my girlfriend.

The kicker is that this year was gonna be the push to move into town and get a new job, something we've both discussed at length for a while. But nothing is sticking with any of my applications. I've got a 1st class honours degree in Computer Games Development, intern experience for a freelance furniture designer, proofreading experience for a novel and five years retail experience with training and mentoring. It's getting to the point where it's really starting to affect me mentally and I hate not being able to treat my girlfriend or have a nice night out.

At this point I'm really not fussed at all what I get, just so long as it can facilitate living in town. Anyone have any ideas??
