Body	Has anyone here had bad experiences with tattoo shops in Glasgow? I could be totally wrong but I almost feel as if a shop has attempted to con me out of my deposit. I made a booking with a shop in the city centre maybe two months ago. The booking was for a custom tattoo and was set for today at 10am. I exchanged phone numbers with the artist and we set up a WhatsApp conversation to stay in touch. During the two months or so I never heard anything from my artist or had seen anything to do with my custom tattoo. I didn't like the idea of showing up to the appointment today without seeing any sort of design beforehand but I showed up on time and the shop was closed. The shutters were down. I messaged my artist through WhatsApp and they text me back claiming that they tried to message me last week but WhatsApp wasn't working and that they were I'll and couldn't make the appointment. They asked if I would like to make another appointment. I said I'd like my deposit back. Again, I could be totally wrong and probably am but it almost feels like the artist was hoping that I'd forget about my appointment and that I'd be a no show so that they could just keep my deposit without actually having to do any work. Is this something you have to watch out for with tattoo places in Glasgow? Or am I being paranoid? My last tattoo almost went the same way. It was a different shop like 2 miles out from the city centre and the shop was shuttered and the artist showed up late and unprepared. This was after we had to reschedule the appointment for like another month. They had completely forgot what I wanted tattooed and I had to make a sort of sketch to show them.
