Body | Dear Glasgow, I have limited time. In just a year, ı'll have to pack my bags with memories and buy a ticket to a third world country. My home, I must return to. And although I'm enjoying walking the streets like a kid in constant wonder, trying to read stories in each passing face, I haven't had the opportunity to meet the people that make Glasgow. Meetups, hangouts, and "just grab a pint and start a conversation at your local pub you twat" all seem well and nice for advice. But as I try to scratch the surfaces of small talks in big crowds, what if my time runs out? , What if in my desperation the friends I finally find really suck? Or if I come off as a creep trying to start conversations, sit on the corner all night and all out of luck? What if I end up home, with only "what if"'s and "if only"'s? I'd rather go back with memories of your memories, whether shared as an excuse for a pint, or to have a leisurely stroll at a park. So here's the plan I devised on that regard: I call it Speed.. Well its not dating, I already have a wife. And no emphasis on speed either, we can certainly take our time. So this thing I don't know what to call works like this: You and I meet, we share stories and memories trying all the while to not point out the weather. Once we break the crust of small talk, I wonder what's inside you folks. And if to our dismay we discover we dislike eachother's company, we simply part ways and walk. My name is Atilla. Send me a pm and tell me what's yours. When and where? Lets decide together. I've just enjoyed the "the belle" and kelvingrove park as I roamed the streets of West end. This is my 16th day here so far. And so far so good. (P.s. I like stories in all forms) |
