TitleIs divorce less common in Glasgow?

I hardly know anyone who is divorced, I'm racking my brains and we had neighbours who divorced when I was a kid (he was incredibly abusive and controlling of her).

Nobody in my family has been divorced, in fact nearly everyone in my family meets someone in their teens and stays with them forever. Even the younger crop seem to be going the same way. Even people I've been at university with are still with / married yo the person they met at uni.

My background is working class, irish catholic, I still live in a pretty working class area. All my neighbours are still married to number one. I do know some long term single people who have never been in a ltr, mostly by choice.

Divorce is supposed to be very common but it seems very rare in my world. Is it less common to be divorced in Glasgow or am I in some weird bubble?
