TitleCycle routes along the clyde and Kelvin

I have this expensive e-bike I need to start using again.

I've looked online and there's a path running down Great Western Road that would take me to the Canal, then along that to the Kelvin walkway, and from there it's just a few streets to get to where I work (near Buchanan Galleries).

I've heard nothing but horror stories about cycling around Glasgow, and it always looks bloody terrifying, but checking the route out online it doesn't look like I'll hit much traffic.

On one hand, getting fresh air and a lovely cycle to/from work again would be lovely. On the other, the bike is probably worth a grand or more on the 2nd hand market ... so it's a tough decision.

Is cycling really difficult around here? Am I going to find tons of trouble on the walkways and bike paths? What should I be expecting?
