TitleHow much is standard tip in a restaurant?

Used to live here but only visit every few years now and am totally out of touch with how much people tip. Where I live now, you tip 15-20% in restaurants, unless you were basically verbally abused or the food was inedible. The folk I'm staying with here say that 10% is "more than enough". Is that right? Seems a bit light to me, especially after hard times for restaurant staff because of Covid.
