Living in Cessnock... dangerous?

I might be moving there soon so I am interested to know. One thing in particular is that I'm hoping to use the gym (maybe the Gym Group on Glasgow Quay) but I'd rather go when it's later and quiet so maybe 11pm. Is this asking for trouble?
