Title	Let me tell you about homelessness accommodation.

Body	I’ve been made homeless and I’ve been put up in the willow hotel. I’ve been in here 7 weeks now and it’s the worst 7 weeks of my life, it’s a joke. I’ll start off by saying we are treated worse than prisoners, we have no sociable area to have a chat with other residents. We aren’t allowed to speak to anyone in the hotel or in front of the hotel or we are threatened with losing our rooms! If we want to smoke we have to walk away round the block, it’s not allowed to smoke on a public street or else we lose our rooms. The hotel is always absolutely roasting to the point it’s uncomfortable, we get a cleaner in once every ten days or thereabouts who changes the bed and does a light clean. We have no place to store any food at all. There is no fridges available for us to use, there are no cooking facilities (one microwave for 60+ people who stay here) for us if we had food to cook! The hotel puts out sandwich bags which include a sandwich (usually something with mayo that’s been left in the roasting reception), a bit of fruit (waaaaaay past it’s shelf life) a bit of chocolate, a packet of crisps and a little juice box. These sandwich bags are all some people are getting to eat per day. They sit spoiling in the heat in reception all day so by the time you get one it’s rotten. I’m lucky enough I have a cash in hand job, I can go buy food. Usually always some fast food as I can’t store anything in my room. It’s costing a fortune to keep my stomach full each day. This hotel is funded by GCC, so where does all the money go? Because it’s certainly not spent on keeping the homeless looked after. I don’t know what my point is here, I’m just so fed up of being in this place. It’s horrible, it’s dirty and we are treated like inferior beings, this is no way to live. Most people in this hotel are decent and just down on luck. There are a few characters here too but the majority of people are just ordinary people. If I was to get the jail I’d be living better than living here, at least I’d have a proper place to eat sleep socialise etc. I’m just so tired of this place and it’s warfare out there trying to get a house.
