| Body | I have just got a bike. A 20 year old mountain bike, no accessories, a bit rusty, but it goes. A big investment on UC. Is there a reasonable likelihood I could lock it to a random bike rack in central Glasgow without bad things happening to it? I don't think it's a very desirable item, but I have heard tales of desperate yet resourceful junkies in the city centre indiscriminately cutting through locks with carefully secreted bolt cutters, or stealing bikes with other addict ninja techniques.
Basically I am after other people's experience about bike parking in the city centre. I see that the railway stations have areas; do people trust them? Am I being paranoid about street bike racks and I should get over it?
