TitleGetting an appointment with a Doctor…

I’m with Barclay Medical and there’s a rule that you have to call at 8.30am because all appointments are same day now.

One look at the Google reviews there’s a lot of unhappy patients. Are all surgeries in Glasgow doing this?

I’ve been floored with covid this week and had to call NHS24 for antibiotics and steroids. It took 75 minutes to connect the call… surely rules like this are just putting more pressure on Out of Hours?

All I wanted was to request an extended prescription of the above. Now I’ll have to call tomorrow at 8.30am and take up an appointment space to actually speak to the Doctor, when it would make more sense just to request a prescription via reception.

Should add, the Doctors are always lovely. It just seems rather counterproductive.
