Cheap, decent lunch in town?

Boring post sorry. Lived here for the best part of a decade now but I'm still never really sure where to eat lunch in town.
Looking for somewhere cheapish that'll sell me a soup / sandwich that's also good for getting some reading done in peace.
Best Kebab, Blue Lagoon, Gregg's. I've said them now so you don't have to.
