TitleOpenReach install through my garden
AuthorHappy_Pace_4832
Body
I happened to catch 3 engineers in my garden (shared garden at back of block of 6 privately owned tenement flats) today, measuring up and completing paperwork.

I went down to ask what was going on and they said they were installing fibre and wanted access to an internet pole (on the other side of my garden fence, so not even in my property) but said our bin sheds block the access and they would need to “refer it back to OpenReach”.

Can anyone tell me if I have legal rights to notification and/or agreements for internet access to be going through my property?
I know Access Agreements are needed when they want to install ON my property -but the pole/mast in question is on the other side of my property boundary, so I don’t know where my rights lie as a property owner.

Seems pretty suss to me that the residents have had no notification before engineers are out poking around? It seems like the bin shed was an unexpected obstacle to them and they would otherwise have been doing work today.
