| Body | I was born in England, reside in Scotland. There's one person I've known over ten years who can sign the thing to say I am who I say I am, as long as I can get her organised. The only bit that's stumping me is having it witnessed.
Do I need a solicitor? A notary public? I've contacted a few people about it: none of them had helped with a deed poll before, and one was charging £250. Surely they only need to sign one thing, is this what it costs?
I was thinking about getting one of those £9.99 kits but as everything's free and available from gov.uk I wanted to give it a go. I know I've got to pay £42 odd to get it enrolled, I'm just foggy on who I need to get to sign what and how much extra it might be.
