TitleAmerican family staying in Glasgow for a few months (for work). Tips?

Hi all, I am an American and my husband's company is sending our family to Glasgow for a few months this winter.

Any tips for foreigners, especially related to children (ages 2, 4, 6) and getting around town with them?

Maybe it's a weird question, but what is family culture like there?

What is expected of parents & children? Related to their manner, dress, etc.?

Will it be weird if I don't drink? Unfortunately alcohol doesn't sit well with me. Are there family friendly places to eat that you'd recommend? Do kid ever go into pubs & such?

Thanks for helping a clueless foreigner out.
