Hi folks. Just wanted to give a heads-up about a Letting Agency I crossed by. They're based at 2 Calder Street.
Basically, heard nothing but bad things about them from friends, and went with them anyway because the flat I living at the time was at got sold from under us by another agency. Lived there a few years, and they were pretty much useless. Had numerous issues that were never resolved. In the end, I moved out at the start of last year.
After leaving, they made up a story about me damaging my front door, and that they wouldn't be returning my full deposit. Wound up taking it further to the adjudicator of the deposit scheme, and the letting agency changed the story and said I changed the locks. Fortunately, I had all the receipts and the adjudicator weighed on my side, and I got the full deposit back. Left a negative review on Google, and moved on. Received an e-mail from them demanding I remove it, laughed, and then ignored it.
But I noticed recently, the review I left was gone. Had a look, and 1st Lets seemed to have disappeared from Google entirely. Was curious as to whether they closed, but I happened to be driving by the other night and saw it was still opened.
Today I checked, and it looks like it's back on with **ALL** reviews wiped. Looks like they did it it due to the amount of negative reviews on the place. There were absolutely a fair few already when I left mine. Seems pretty sketchy, so wanted to give fair warning in case anyone is thinking of renting with them.


TL;DR - Rented with the company, falsely accused me of things, and seem to now be hiding their negative reviews on Google. Stay safe out there, folks.
