TitleRent Freeze

My understanding was that both council and private landlords could no longer increase the rent. I'm about to move out of a flat in Dennistoun and I am currently paying £600 a month. Did a little nosey on the Letting Agents website and saw they are now asking for £725 a month.

I gave my notice to vacate on 15th September well after the date of announcement. Not sure if this is legal or of there is anything I can do about it to protect the next tenant.

They are holding viewings next Friday and I was planning on leaving a note out somewhere stating the current rental price.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
