TitleIs Glasgow identifying more as ‘Scottish’ than ‘British’?

I’m noticing it more in younger generations (I’m 19 so I can say this). Is it just me or is Glasgow in particular losing its British identity and becoming more distinctively a ‘Scottish’ place?

Someone called a Scottish man British on TikTok and the Scottish people in the comments took a meltdown. Most people even claim they’re not British but speak with a Glasgow accent (which is hard to understand).

I think Edinburgh embraces both their ‘Scottish’ and ‘British’ identities but Glasgow seems to be doing everything it can to claim that it’s ‘Scotland not Britain’.
