TitleRat problem in nearby flat now effecting us

Hey, anyone have any ideas on this?
The block of flats next to ours has about 3 of the 6 flats in it empty, and the back garden is pretty overgrown. No piles of rubbish, just toys, long grass and broken kitchen appliances.

I looked out the window one night a few weeks ago and noticed a rat in their garden, then after a few seconds I realised there was a shit-tonne of them. All scurrying around and entering under the communial step from the back door into the garden.

I emailed the council and of course they say that because it's not my property and because of lockdown, they are only sending their contractors to big infestations, and they cannot come out to judge that until after lockdown. Their resolution was for me to buy bait on amazon 😂

I've noticed tonight that they are still running around after dark, but they've started coming into my garden, I'm 1st floor flat and worried they'll find a way up 😂

Any advice?
