The click is definitely a weird thing, but in person when you hear it, it's pretty unmistakable. I'm not sure what the actual mechanism is that causes the click, but I imagine it must be to do with a piece of metal expanding due to the heat and the click would probably be more accurately described as a pop because you sort of "feel" it happen, too. Don't stress, you'll get the hang of it right quick. Enjoy!
