| Comment | Have you considered going earlier or later in the year? The midges will be bad in June. When I did my mapping project I went in May when it was too cold for midges.
Also, accommodation will be expensive unless you camp. The highlands is not cheap, due to the huge number of tourists.
Edit: this self catering accommodation is £565 per week in Ullapool. That's not bad, tbh.
